ZEST Blepharoexfoliation

ZEST (Zocular Eyelid System Treatment) is a medically developed in-office blepharoexfoliation procedure designed to remove biofilm, debris, and Demodex from the eyelid margins - an essential component in the treatment of anterior blepharitis, Meibomian Gland Dysfunction (MGD), and dry eye disease.

The non-invasive treatment targets the root causes of ocular surface inflammation by physically and chemically exfoliating the lid margins using a proprietary okra-based gel formulation.

ZEST is intended for patients suffering from:

• Chronic anterior or posterior blepharitis
• Demodex blepharitis
• Meibomian Gland Dysfunction (MGD)
• Dry Eye Disease (especially evaporative)
• Contact lens discomfort due to lid margin disease
• Recurrent chalazia or hordeola

It can be used as a standalone therapy or adjunctively with other treatments such as Lumenis OptiLIGHT IPL, meibomian gland expression, topical antimicrobials, or immunomodulators (e.g., cyclosporine, lifitegrast).
