Lumenis OptiLIGHT is the first and only Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) device FDA-approved for management of dry eye disease due to Meibomian Gland Dysfunction (MGD) - the most common cause of evaporative dry eye.

OptiLIGHT delivers precise pulses of broad-spectrum light to the periorbital area (cheeks and nose), targeting multiple underlying causes of dry eye diseases:

• Reduces inflammation by coagulating abnormal telangiectatic blood vessels that contribute to chronic ocular surface inflammation
• Improves meibomian gland function by decreasing gland obstruction and allowing better lipid secretion
